Bunkhouse Saloon in Valentine

Great little bar and restaurant. Was staying at Merritt reservoir, passing back through valentine on the way back and decided to stop for food instead of making food back at camp. Great menu options. Food was amazing and priced really well. Will definitely stop again next time I'm out that way.

Kinda creepy here. Not much light super dark. And smells funky. Cheap drinks and ok pizza for frozen pizza. They stop serving food at 9pm thought that was a little early but its a small town. Had to use my phone as light to find the bathroom.

I used to work here and everyone was so nice. The food is amazing and so was the service. Would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family

Had breakfast here a week or so ago and it was great. Today, they have a big "CLOSED" sign on door. No idea why, as the bar looked busy last night. I guess I'll find breakfast somewhere else.

The bad experience started as soon as I walked into the restaurant. None of the staff even acknowledged my presence. One of the waitresses looked at me then sat down to talk to another customer. After couple minutes she did bring a menu, when I was thinking about leaving. I ordered hot tea and the western omlet which came with toast, hasbrowns and salsa according to the menu. When the plate was brought to my table the toast was literally black. (Waitress should have refused to take burnt toast to a customer) The hasbrowns were cold and not cooked. The waitress had to go get the salsa. She never came back to check on me or offer more hot water for my tea, until she saw I was ready for my ticket. When asked at check out how everything was I told the woman if I wanted burnt toast and cold hash browns I would have stayed home. She asked if I said anything. I said the toast was black it was obvious it was burnt. She never offered a discount and I stated I would never be back.

Ate breakfast here and it was fantastic. The steak in the steak and eggs was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The country fried steak breakfast was also very very delicious. Waiting staff was friendly and attentive. Friendly atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone. We had a very good experience.

The service was excellent, the food was above average, the desert was pretty good, but, the waitress made all worthwhile!!! Very pleasant and friendly!!!

Friendly staff, tasty food. Pricing was a little high. I ordered a water to drink and received a bottle of water in which I had to pay $1.50 for.

Service was adequate, though I ran out of iced tea more than once (!!!!!), and the service matched the food. Portions were large: basic bacon, neither overdone nor underdone; hashbrowns out of a freezer bag warmed but not crisped. Loafbread warm but not toasted. For a "bunkhouse" type restaurant, I guess we expected more authentic cooking. We were visiting from out of town, and camping, so a breakfast out was to be a treat. But we left the Bunkhouse Restaurant wishing that we had just made our eggs at the campground and saved the money.

Visit the Bunkhouse every year when we visit Valentine. Great place to have breakfast, good food and service. A must try when visiting.

This place was horrible! We will not be coming back! The Ruben was dry, no sourktawt, or thousand island dressing then the BLT was hard and had nasty miracle whip which made it sour tasting. Then it smelt like nasty funky fish! The lighting was very dark!

It's was as good a sirloin as I've had. I asked for well done, it came out well done.

Good steak, had the rib eye well done. Nice staff. Clean restrooms. Perfect stop on a long drive.

Bad experience. I ordered the Taco salad. The shell was greasy, the tomatoes were like leather, the meat was badly seasoned. I will not be going back.😣
